Do you prefer Asian to Western music?

Personally I prefer the style of Asian music - it seems the vocals are more unique and the melodies seem more evocative, and Asian music companies are more selective of famous singers rather than the greater volume singers in Britain and America, only a few of which I personally like. So are you a westerner who prefers Asian music, vice versa, or prefer the music where you live?

I totally agree with you - actually I sometimes forget what western music is like and when people ask me "What sort of music do you like?" I often cannot answer because they wouldn't know who BoA is.

I don't think it really has to do with the singers being better, to me it's the rythmn and what singers like BoA actually sing. I listen and love alot of my music (american) but alot of it is about crap and that bothers me. So i listen to BoA, Koda, Utada and Ayumi because they still sing about things that are real! Yeah Asian music!
